1.check source.
Take a look where does the story it come from, is there any other stories on that website?
You might have to check by clicking about page and read the description of the organisation.
2.beware of fake photo.
These day the technology has grown so fast that you might not recognize that this image was edited.
So if you are not sure about it, bascily you just need to use google image search, this will show you the same image from another publisher, and also can be used to find modified/amended version of this image.
3.check if there's the same story on other website.
If this story is also published on many other websites then it might be real.
4.signs that can tell you that the web is suspicious.
-using all CAPS.
-having lots of pop up ads.
